Bigger Better Brains

Bigger Better Brains

Dr Anita Collins from Bigger Better Brains shared this great post about how drums are not just drums, they are also a tool for cognitive synchronisation. They also help your brain process information more effectively and keep it working at optimum level.

But did you know playing the drums also;
- improves your mental and physical health by reducing stress, anxiety, depression, pain, and blood pressure?
- activates the brain’s limbic centre and releases the chemicals, such as dopamine, that make us experience joy?
- boosts the power of your mind and improves your coordination ?

These are just some of the amazing benefits of drumming that are backed by scientific evidence. So what are you waiting for? Warm up those hands, or grab your sticks and start drumming today.

Architecture in Music

Architecture in Music

We are thrilled to introduce you to Charles Brooks, a talented photographer who has captured stunning photos of music in architecture. Charles Brooks is not only a photographer, but also a lover of music. He uses special probe lenses and high-resolution Lumix cameras to explore the intricate details of each instrument, taking dozens to hundreds of individual frames for each photo. He then stitches them together to create stunning compositions that make the instruments appear vast and cavernous, giving the viewer a sense of being transported to another world. His photos are a unique blend of art and science, revealing the beauty and complexity of musical instruments from a new perspective. You can see some of his amazing photos on his website, where he also explains his creative process and inspiration. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
