Kate has been teaching with Mini Maestros since 2004 and owned and operated the Kew/Balwyn Franchise for 12 years before returning to teach for Head Office. She studied Drama at university, has extensive singing experience and has completed the Level 1 Orff Schulwerk course. Kate presented the Mini Maestros program at the Suzuki Autumn Music Festival in 2012. Kate first came across Mini Maestros in 1998 when she enrolled her eldest daughter. Kate saw her daughter’s vocabulary, and listening and gross motor skills develop through playing instruments, dancing, experiencing a steady beat and engaging with props and puppets. Kate loves incorporating dramatic elements in her classes. She enjoys helping young children learn and develop confidence, and is a firm believer in the value of learning through play. Teaching preschool children is simply joyous.
