Taryn Wright is the owner/operator of Essendon North. We asked Taryn a few questions so you can get to know her better and this is what she had to say.

Question 1: Assuming you already have food and water, what 3 things would you take to a deserted island?

I’d take a reclining lounge, my kindle and a whole lot of sunscreen!

Question 2: Who is your favourite band/musician at the moment?

I’ve been listening to Christopher O’Reilly’s jazz piano arrangements of Radiohead. Weird jazz chords and 90’s rock – amazing.

Question 3: What superpower would you like to have and why?

Photographic reflexes – then I could master piano like Yuja Wang, or dance like Kesenia Parkhatskaya.

 Question 4: What are 3 pieces of advice you would give to a child as they embark on their life’s journey?

  1. Be confident enough to make mistakes
  2. Always do things that make you happy
  3. Never be afraid to ask for help

 Question 5: What’s the best thing about being a Mini Maestros Franchisee?

Spending my time sharing my love of music with a new generation of children, and of course enjoying all the quirky things that toddlers love to say.
