Question 1: Assuming you already have food and water, what 3 things would you take to a deserted island?
ALISON: “My dog – because he’s always so happy, so being on a deserted island would never be lonely. My family photo album. A blanket – because I can’t stand to be cold!!”
LINDA: “If my family isn’t allowed I would take my pillow, I take my pillow everywhere a blanket Sunscreen!”
Question 2: Who is your favourite band/musician at the moment? Â Â Â
ALISON: “P!nk – I love the strength and confidence in her songs and she’s an amazing performer.”
LINDA: “We listen to a very eclectic range of music in our family from Lil’ Nas to ACDC, Queen, Ed Sheeren, The Living End and musicals so it’s hard to pick one out. I will often go back to Fleetwood Mac, there are so many layers to their music.”
Question 3: What superpower would you like to have and why? Â Â
ALISON: “I would really like to be able to fly, just to have the feeling of freedom flying over the world!”
LINDA: “I like Alison’s answer of being able to fly, but the ability to read people’s minds would be very handy, as long as you could switch that power off!”
Question 4: What are 3 pieces of advice you would give to a child as they embark on their life’s journey?   Â
LINDA: “1. Enjoy being a kid, everyone wants to grow up so quickly but if you do that you miss out on a lot of fun and silliness! 2. Be respectful and intrigued by things that are different and learn about them or from them. 3. You are perfectly not perfect and that’s ok.”
: “Joy – I love the happiness that our classes bring to children. I love watching parents and children spending time together just having fun. I love dancing like nobody’s watching, the smiles and the giggles.”
LINDA: “Being able to share the power of music. Yes, I get to be silly and jump around with the kids but I also get to witness the magic that music can weave, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.”
